What is kombucha?
Kombucha is a sparkling probiotic tea. Due to its abundance of beneficial yeast and bacteria, kombucha has a number of health benefits such as supporting the digestive and immune systems.
How is session kombucha different?
Session kombucha is a non-alcoholic style that is much smoother and less acidic than traditional kombucha. This comes from our unique brewing process and specialized bacterial culture, offering a great taste without sacrificing any health benefits. All of our flavors are session kombucha, with an amazing taste that is light and refreshing.
Is Seven Seas Kombucha organic?
We are not certified organic, but we use local and organic ingredients whenever possible.
Is Seven Seas Kombucha vegan?
Yes! Our kombucha is made of tea, cane sugar, fruits, herbs, and spices. Our rotating flavors at the tasting room occasionally use honey, and it will be listed in the ingredients.
How did Seven Seas Kombucha start?
After years of drinking kombucha daily, founders Lori and Kevin began making their own kombucha at home in early 2016. Using their experience studying microbiology and working in biotech labs, the couple began tweaking their brewing process and adjusting their culture of bacteria and yeast in search of a better tasting kombucha. Three years later, they launched Seven Seas Kombucha and introduced session kombucha to the world.
How can I buy kombucha from Seven Seas?
Currently there are four ways to find our kombucha:
OUR TASTING ROOM: Located in Sorrento Valley is open Monday-Saturday from 12pm to 6:30pm (currently closed due to Covid-19). There you can buy bottles and growlers of our core flavors as well as any experimental flavors we are working on. Make sure to get a flight and try a few!
HOME DELIVERY: Available to most people living within San Diego County. Take advantage of our free delivery option while you can! Click here to go to our web store.
OTHER LOCAL BUSINESSES: Our kombucha is served on draft at a variety of coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants. Click here to find a map of all of these locations.

What are your hours?
Our tasting room is open Monday through Saturday from 12pm to 6:30pm (currently closed due to Covid-19).
Do you serve food?
We don’t serve any food but feel free to bring in your own!
Do you serve alcoholic kombucha?
All of our kombuchas are non-alcoholic. However, they make for fantastic mixed drinks at home!
Can I host an event at your tasting room?
We would love to host your event! Reach out to us by phone at (858) 255-8292 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’d be happy to set something up for you. Due to limited space, we are only able to host groups of 40 people or less.

How do I place an order for delivery?
Go to our shop page and click either the “Subscription" or "One-Time Purchase" button to place an order.
Where can you deliver to?
We deliver to most of San Diego county. If your address is not eligible for delivery, you will be notified once you submit your delivery address.
When will my order arrive?
Once you complete your purchase, a window will appear offering three options for delivery based on your zip code.
Do I have to be present to accept my delivery?
We do contactless delivery by leaving your order by the front door. However, our kombucha must be refrigerated right away, so someone will need to be present to bring the bottles inside. We will ring the doorbell upon arrival of your order. In additions, you will receive an email and text message right away to alert you that your order has been delivered. We are not liable for kombucha that goes bad from being left out or improperly stored.
Can I return my used bottles?
Yes you can! You may leave any used 16oz and 32oz Seven Seas Kombucha bottles by your front door during your delivery window. You will receive a refund within 7 business days ($1 per 16oz bottle and $4 per 32oz bottle). The bottles must be from Seven Seas Kombucha, washed, and in good condition. We have the right to refuse bottles that are excessively dirty or damaged.

How do I modify or cancel my order?
Orders can be canceled or modified up to 24 hours before the start of the delivery window. Please give us a call at (858) 255-8292 to do so.
