What is kombucha?
Kombucha is a sparkling probiotic tea. Due to its abundance of beneficial yeast and bacteria, kombucha has a number of health benefits such as supporting the digestive and immune systems.

How Seven Seas Kombucha different?
Seven Seas Kombucha is a non-alcoholic kombucha that is much smoother and less acidic than traditional kombucha. This comes from our unique brewing process and specialized bacterial culture, offering a great taste without sacrificing any health benefits. All of our flavors have an amazing taste that is light and refreshing.

Is Seven Seas Kombucha organic?
We are not certified organic, but we source organic and non GMO ingredients whenever possible. All our tea is fair trade certified.

Is Seven Seas Kombucha vegan?
Yes! Our kombucha is made of tea, cane sugar, fruits, herbs, and spices. Occasionally our rotating flavors might use honey but it will be listed in the ingredients.

How much sugar is in Seven Seas Kombucha?
Each 8oz serving of kombucha has 25 calories and 6.5 grams of sugar regardless of the flavor. We never add in any additional sugar after the initial fermentation, which allows us to keep the sugar and calories low.

There's stuff floating/settling on the bottom of my bottle. Is that normal?
It is totally fine! Since kombucha is living and is full of of microbes and fresh ingredients, seeing sediment in the bottle is totally normal. Some fruits or herbs are more likely to separate and will also settle to the bottom, so we recommend you gently mix the bottle by turning it upside down a few times. Never shake your kombucha bottle, or it will fizz over when you open it!

What is the shelf life of your kombucha?
If you are receiving kombucha from our delivery service, the best by date is 2 weeks from the day of delivery if unopened. Once opened we recommend consuming within 4 days.
The shelf life on our retail bottles is longer, and will have the date printed on the label. We still recommend consuming within 4 days once opened.

How can I buy Seven Seas Kombucha?
Currently there are three ways to find our kombucha:

Where do you make deliveries?
We deliver to most of San Diego County. If your address is not eligible for delivery, you will be notified once you submit your delivery address. If this is the case, you will be notified and refunded in full.

When will my order arrive?
After you place your order you will choose from 3 options (1 morning, 1 afternoon, 1 evening) per week based on you where you live. The delivery windows are in three hour blocks, and your order will arrive within that time frame. We cannot guarantee a specific time within that window, as out delivery schedule is constantly changing. Do I have to be present to accept my delivery?
We offer contact-free delivery by leaving your order by the front door. However, our kombucha must be refrigerated right away, so someone will need to be present to bring the bottles inside. You will receive an initial text notification when the driver is within 20 minutes of your address. Upon arrival we will knock, leave your new order, and collect any old bottles. Refrigerate you order immediately. We are not liable for kombucha that goes bad from being left out or improperly stored.

Can I return my used bottles?
Yes! To participate, leave your used Seven Seas growlers by your front door at the beginning of your delivery window. You will receive a refund email notification and will see the refund to your account within 5-7 business days ($4 per growler). The growlers must be from Seven Seas Kombucha, washed, and in good condition. We have the right to refuse bottles that are excessively dirty or damaged.

Do you accept returns?
We stand by our products and strive to give you the best experience possible. If there is something wrong with your order, please contact lori@sevenseaskombucha.com. We do not accept returns for products that have been improperly stored or lack of enjoyment.

How do I modify or cancel my order?
Orders can be canceled or modified up to 24 hours before the start of the delivery window. Please give us a call at (858) 255-8292 to do so.

All About Subscriptions +
How do subscriptions work?
Our subscription service allows you to have your favorite kombucha delivered automatically once or twice a month. Since subscriptions are recurring, when choosing a delivery day try to choose a time when you are consistently home.

What products are eligible for subscriptions?
All of our kombucha, coffee, and iced tea are eligible for subscription. Our rotating flavors are also eligible for subscription, but will change regularly based on availability. If you choose a rotating flavor, you should expect a variety of flavors.

How much kombucha can I have delivered at once?
You can choose between 2-5 growlers or 1-2 build your own 4-packs per delivery.

What if I want a 4-pack and growler delivered together?
Unfortunately, you can't mix and match growlers and 4 packs in a single subscription. If you'd like a combination of 4 packs and growlers delivered together you need to set up 2 subscriptions for the same date. It's a little more work at the beginning, but will save you time in the long run!

What if I want the kombucha flavors to change?
Our subscription service is set up so that you will receive the same kombucha flavors each delivery. If you'd like to have more variety in your subscription, we recommend you set up 2 different 1x/month subscriptions. Choose different flavors for each subscription and schedule them two weeks apart and it will work just like the 2x/month subscriptions. It's a little more work at the beginning, but will save you time in the long run!
Alternatively if you need less variety, but want to switch things up every so often, you can cancel the subscription and start a new one with different flavors.

How are subscriptions charged?
A single monthly charge will be made to your card on the same day the initial order was placed.

Can I pause a subscription if I'm going out of town?
If you are going away and need to suspend your subscription for a short period of time (less than a month), contact us and we can refund you for the days you will be gone. If you're leaving for an extended period of time we recommend that you cancel your subscription and renew it once you're back in town.

How do I cancel?
You can cancel any time. Go to your account page and follow the instructions to cancel your subscription.
